National Service Scheme (NSS)
The National Service Scheme (NSS) at Ram Lal College functions with the guiding motto “Not Me, But You”, emphasizing selfless service, social responsibility, and community engagement. Through its activities, the NSS integrates academic learning with social service, instilling in students the values of discipline, leadership, teamwork, and empathy.
The NSS volunteers of the college actively participate in a wide range of community welfare programmes and social outreach initiatives, both within the campus and in adopted rural areas. Regular activities and special camps provide opportunities for students to directly engage with society and contribute meaningfully.
Key activities undertaken by the NSS units include:
- Tree plantation and environmental conservation drives
- Awareness programmes on legal rights, gender equality, and social justice
- Cleanliness and sanitation campaigns in rural and urban areas
- Health awareness and medical check-up camps (such as anaemia, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, and nutrition awareness)
- Workshops on personal hygiene, fitness, and wellness
- Community education programmes to promote literacy and awareness
