Uniform Leave Rule
Uniform Leave Rules
All government-aided teachers of Ram Lal College, Purnea, are governed by the leave regulations prescribed by Purnea University. Leave of absence is considered a privilege and not a matter of right, and it is granted only on proper application with sufficient justification and approval of the competent authority, which also reserves the right to curtail or revoke leave in the interest of service. Teachers under suspension are not entitled to leave, and unauthorized absence without prior permission may invite disciplinary action under university statutes. Applications for leave or extension must be submitted in writing to the Principal, or in the case of the Principal, to the President of the Governing Body, and ordinarily must be sanctioned before availing. Leave begins on the day it is taken and ends on the day before resuming duty, and while Sundays and holidays may be prefixed or suffixed, longer breaks require prior approval. A teacher cannot return from leave earlier than the sanctioned period without proper authorization, and any teacher absent for all scheduled days in a week will be treated as absent for the whole week. No leave will be credited after resignation, voluntary retirement, or superannuation.
